Delridge Neighborhoods Development Association (DNDA)
Delridge Neighborhoods Development Association (DNDA) is a local nonprofit that has been working to improve the Delridge neighborhood for twenty-four years. Our mission is to integrate Art, Nature, and Neighborhood to build and sustain a dynamic Delridge. Founded by a group of neighbors, DNDA has fought for community investments, in support of improvements to infrastructure for youth, and for urban green spaces in the neighborhood.
Today, DNDA’s innovative programs span Southwest Seattle and beyond, and provide unique opportunities for community engagement and youth leadership. DNDA’s current programs include our 7 affordable housing sites, EcoArts program, Urban Forest Restoration, Youngstown Cultural Arts Center, Restorative Justice Program, Family Connections, Summer Youth Program, and the Delridge Wetland Park. Our partnership with Interagency Academy brings arts and culture instruction to students during the school day and supports restorative peacemaking circles to increase healing. Our model has also incorporated professional development for teaching staff, including affinity groups. Further, we believe that this is a crucial time for addressing systemic racism and that our innovative approaches will be beneficial to all we serve.
