Bridging Cultural Gaps (BCG)
Bridging Cultural Gaps is a local nonprofit organization that values diversity and serves disadvantaged youth in the King County area. We strive to offer our youth opportunities for empowerment and educational achievement.
Connecting Hearts and Restoring Minds is a program that will address how Black and African decent youth can learn about social, economic, and environmental influences that help shape an individual’s identity in the context of race and economics.
The program will target youth scholars between the ages of 14-18 living in South King County. The scholars will be offered personal and professional development, cross-cultural communication and learn the importance of historical/cultural references for identify development. The program will engage parents and school staff through listening sessions and collaborative planning. Click here to visit our website.
